Role Description

Counseling facilitators for Arizona Behavioral Counseling are responsible for:

• Conducting screenings, individual and/or group counseling sessions, and education classes for clients enrolled in programs.
• Completing intake sessions and writing individual treatment plans.
• Documenting all client contact and monitoring client progress.
• Writing progress reports and discharge summaries.
• Conducting responsibilities under the direction of the quality assurance team, a clinical supervisor, and the Director.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Holds a CPR card and First Aid card no older than 2 years.
• Holds a License from the AZ Board of Behavioral Health; or has a Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Associate’s degree in a behavioral health field; or has a High School degree/equivalent with coursework in behavioral health and at least 2 years of behavioral health experience.
• Skills and knowledge necessary to screen or counsel clients with issues including substance abuse, anger, and/or domestic violence.
• Completes 20 hours of training annually, including 8 hours of domestic violence-related training.
• Training in DUI laws and DUI treatment standards and chemical dependency.
• If providing DV services, must have 6 months of prior experience working with offenders.

Requirements

• Part Time Behavioral Health Technician positions available in Phoenix, Prescott Valley, Tempe, and Chandler locations.
• Part Time Available (10 or less hours per week on average).
• Looking for a Counselor to facilitate Substance Abuse Education/Treatment and Domestic Violence Offender evening and weekend telehealth groups.
• Typical start time: 4pm on weekdays and 8am on weekends.
• Typical end time: 9pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends.
• Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour.
• Minimum Experience: Experienced preferred.
• This position may require evening and weekend work.
