Role Description

This individual will serve as a Genetic Counseling Assistant (GCA) supporting a multidisciplinary, cutting-edge research and clinical team focused on preventive genomics, risk communication, population health, and health outcomes research. The GCA will play an integral role in facilitating clinical and research activities by:

• Assisting with participant coordination
• Data and documentation management
• Communication workflows
• Operational support across multiple projects and initiatives

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree
• Training or experience in a clinical or clinical research setting preferred
• Candidates who intend to apply to a genetic counseling program are encouraged to apply

Requirements

• Coordinate administrative activities for research and clinical projects
• Maintain accurate research and clinical records and enter data into secure databases
• Prepare meeting materials, take meeting minutes, and assist with scheduling across multiple time zones
• Support development of research materials, including IRB submissions, grant applications, surveys, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations
• Conduct literature reviews and prepare concise written summaries
• Assist with organization of shared files, publication tracking, and reference library management
• Support patient intake, scheduling, and clinic coordination
• Assist with genomic testing coordination and clinic administrative duties under genetic counselor supervision
