Role Description

As a Functional Assessor with Ingeus, you can expect:

What you’ll be doing each day:

• Carry out functional assessments with claimants via video & telephone to assess their ability to undertake activities of daily living.
• Ask focused questions and use active listening and critical reasoning skills to gather accurate information.
• Produce high quality, structured clinical reports on all claimants you assess, for submission to the DWP.
• Review evidence, request and evaluate additional evidence when required and clinically triage cases to determine the correct assessment pathway.
• Work alongside other highly experienced clinical colleagues to ensure high-quality & fair assessments for all claimants.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC-registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics.
• Excellent communication & critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to type and confidence using computers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 months post‑qualification & registration experience.
• Practicing as a clinician for the last 12 months in the UK.
