Role Description
As a Functional Assessor with Ingeus, you can expect:

What you’ll be doing each day:
-
Carry out functional assessments with claimants via video & telephone to assess their ability to undertake activities of daily living.

Ask focused questions and use active listening and critical reasoning skills to gather accurate information.

Produce high quality, structured clinical reports on all claimants you assess, for submission to the DWP.

Review evidence, request and evaluate additional evidence when required and clinically triage cases to determine the correct assessment pathway.

Work alongside other highly experienced clinical colleagues to ensure high-quality & fair assessments for all claimants.
Qualifications
-
NMC-registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD) or HCPC-registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics.

Excellent communication & critical-thinking skills.

Ability to type and confidence using computers.
Requirements

Minimum of 12 months post‑qualification & registration experience.

Practicing as a clinician for the last 12 months in the UK.
