Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Laboratory Informaticist to help us set up our laboratory configuration and optimize workflows in Lunar as we look to shape the future of healthcare. Come join us and play a pivotal role in this exciting and important mission.

• Lab Order and Test Configuration: Configure laboratory orders, tests, and specimen rules tailored to specific departments and hospital configurations to ensure accuracy and compliance in laboratory operations.
• Translate Traditional LIS Workflows to Lunar: Bridge the gap between Lunar's next-generation platform and traditional laboratory information system (LIS) workflows, ensuring smooth adoption and user understanding.
• Training and Documentation: Create comprehensive training materials and provide guidance to hospitals, translating complex lab ordering, resulting, and workflow processes into clear and practical resources.
• Interfaces and Result Edits: Define and compile rules for laboratory interfaces and result edits, including critical value flags, reflex testing logic, units, and reference-range mapping. Oversee the setup and testing of these rules within the system.
• Quality Assurance: Configure and establish QA processes within Lunar's LIS and tailor them to individual customer configurations.
• Interface and Workflow Review: Review and refine laboratory interfaces and resulting workflows for each hospital partner, ensuring seamless integration with analyzers and reference labs.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of clinical laboratory experience across multiple domains such as hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, etc.
• Proven track record of leading or supporting successful LIS implementations or interface builds.
• Deep understanding of laboratory information systems with the ability to intuitively navigate and optimize software for enhanced performance and usability.
• Deep understanding of laboratory coding and terminology standards (e.g., LOINC, SNOMED).
• Complex problem-solving abilities in laboratory operations and systems environments.
• Strong skills in translating complex processes into clear, concise training materials, and communicating effectively with hospital teams at all levels.
• Enthusiasm for improving laboratory operations through cutting-edge software solutions that drive both operational efficiency and quality.
