Role Description
This role is in support of Alcura, a Cencora business offering pharma and patient support services in Europe. We have an opportunity for a Field Nurse helping to cover the London area. The role provides acute homecare nursing to facilitate the provision of Alcuraβs field-based patient-related services to the NHS and private sectors.

Provide clinical nursing support as required and directed by Alcura, in line with standard protocols for that specific service.

Maintain and demonstrate competencies at least annually whilst performing a schedule of patient treatments as scheduled by the nurse administration team.

Use practice-based evidence to support clinical care (e.g. cannulation, phlebotomy, injection techniques) and use most appropriate equipment for safer patient care.

Attend (and facilitate where necessary) training to provide professional service to meet company demands and to maintain nursing registration.

Ensure that service provision meets all policies, procedures and governance requirements.

Demonstrate an awareness of the CQC registration process and maintain own practice in accordance with regulation and training given.

Maintain clinical registration and revalidation as per NMC standards and maintain professional standards of care at all times, in line with the NMC Code of conduct.

Report adverse events, complaints and service failures in a timely fashion and according to company policy and MHRA guidance.

Record and document all clinical activity, clinical observations and feedback as per the NMC documentation standards.

Communicate clinical matters through agreed pathways within the hospital or Pharma company in a timely fashion (usually 24 hours or immediately if serious).

Provide effective and comprehensive reporting to line manager against clear time frames, ensuring that professional concerns are escalated and managed in a timely fashion.

Maintain adequate working stock levels for required equipment and re-order supplies using the approved stock list.

Store all clinical equipment safely in the car, ensuring no medical equipment is left in public view.
Qualifications

Qualified nurse - RGN part 1 NMC Register (RSCN where appropriate).

Member of RCN or equivalent.

Highly motivated, positive and customer service orientated.

Experience in an acute care setting/relevant ENB post registration.

Experience in the care of IV and SC devices and administration of IV and SC therapies.

Excellent report/record keeping skills.

Effective communication skills.

Proven adaptability skills, good planning, organisation and time management skills.

Able to operate in a team environment, strong interpersonal skills.

Proficient in IT systems β in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience of working in a community setting.

Full Driving Licence.
Requirements

Desirable: Experience in administration of chemotherapy (including vesicants) with a degree level chemo course (old N59).

ENB 998 or C&G 730 and/or teaching experience.

Cannulation and phlebotomy skills.
