Role Description

The Family Therapist is responsible for the overall therapeutic progress and therapeutic case management of 10-20 families. This position reports directly to the Clinical Director. Minimal requirements for the position are candidates must be Licensed Master’s Level Therapist and be in good standing in the state of Missouri. Two years-experience is preferred. Student and parent therapeutic progress are the key goals of the position. Planning, implementing and adjusting a course of treatment are key elements of this position.

• Development and implementation of student treatment plan
• Facilitate weekly family therapy with each student on caseload (via Zoom)
• Timely completion of documentation (weekly family therapy notes)
• Review student and family treatment progress in treatment team meetings with Primary Counselors
• Oversee all aspects of each student’s therapeutic progress including:
• Updating student treatment plans every 90 days
• Ensuring timely progress and completion of treatment plan goals
• Giving clinical updates to Primary Counselors and medical staff
• Complete insurance reviews when assigned by Clinical Director
• Attend daily Staff Meetings
• Return parent calls within 24 hours

New Student/Parent Responsibilities

• Contact parents within 48 hours of being assigned a new Family
• Orient parents to Initial assignments (Not by Chance, Anatomy of Peace)
• Review expectations
• Therapy schedule
• Contact with student
• Parent involvement
• Review Parent Handbook
• Review intake information and testing within 48 hours

Qualifications

• Licensed Master’s Level Therapist
• Good standing in the state of Missouri
• Two years of experience preferred

Requirements

• Ability to manage therapeutic case for 10-20 families
• Experience in planning and implementing treatment plans
• Proficient in documentation and timely communication
