Role Description

The Director, Clinical Supervision & Practice Development is responsible for advancing enterprise clinical supervision models, clinician competency frameworks, and practice development strategies that support consistent, high-quality clinical care across LifeStance. This role develops scalable supervision standards, supervisor training pathways, and outcomes-informed development practices by partnering with Clinical Practice, Measurement-Based Care, Clinical Operations, Learning & Development, Research, and clinical leadership. Success looks like enterprise-wide adoption of effective supervision practices, strengthened clinician capability, improved fidelity to evidence-based care, and measurable improvement in clinical quality, consistency, and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize enterprise clinical supervision standards, models, and expectations.
• Establish clinician competency expectations and performance development pathways.
• Integrate measurement-based care, outcomes data, and quality insights into supervision practices.
• Partner with Clinical Practice, Measurement-Based Care, Clinical Operations, and clinical leadership.
• Advance supervision approaches for specialty populations, programs, and emerging therapies.
• Design scalable supervisor training, coaching, assessment, and certification pathways.
• Support the development of training, education, implementation, and certification resources.
• Foster professional growth through advanced learning opportunities, consultation, and mentorship.
• Collaborate with Research teams to support outcomes studies, publications, and presentations.
• Partner with Information Technology, Clinical Operations, and external partners.
• Serve as a thought leader through participation in professional conferences and industry collaborations.
• Contribute to enterprise practice development strategies.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical degree, such as Clinical Psychology PhD, PsyD, or equivalent clinical training and experience.
• Active professional license in good standing, as applicable to the candidate’s discipline.
• 7–10+ years of experience in clinical supervision, clinical training, therapist development, or related roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based psychotherapy modalities.
• Experience developing, implementing, or scaling clinical supervision models.
• Strong ability to translate clinical evidence and best practices into scalable supervision standards.
• Experience working with clinical operations or cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across matrixed teams.

Compensation

$170,000 - $190,000 annually with bonus and equity potential.
