Role Description
Accountable for leading, guiding, & directing revenue cycle standard work. Provides effective use of system resources to drive optimal revenue cycle outcomes and performance measures. Enables regional level strategy to address internal or external business & regulatory issues; provides functional expertise & ensures fulfillment of performance & service standards. Responsible for consistent operating performance & achieving financial goals. Identifies, defines & solves complex problems that impact the management & direction of the business; collaborates with Service Area, Regions & Health Ministries to ensure consistency & integration of strategy & operations. Maintains awareness of new industry developments & standards. Provides decision support, operations & / or optimization leadership focus.

Oversee Vendor/Contract Labor Management including centralizing strategy & optimizing spend.

Collaborates in system-wide strategy development & deployment of functional area priorities & initiatives.

Responsible for supporting regional efforts to comply with functional area priorities.

Accountable for the selection, evaluation, & overall success of the functional leadership teams.

Organization-wide focal point for establishing functional strategies & governance over financials & staffing.

Accountable for communication between service area, functional area, RHM, & Regions leader.

Responsible for measuring & reporting KPIs/metrics & value delivery.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in business, healthcare administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Seven (7) to ten (10) years of progressive experience in revenue cycle operations, revenue metrics & analytics & revenue management.

Five (5) years of management experience in a multi-facility, integrated health care delivery system, or revenue cycle consulting experience.
Additional Qualifications (nice to have)
-
Experience with revenue cycle & accounting systems & insurance issues, healthcare industry issues & trends, legal issues in field of expertise, required third party & governmental guidelines, & work processing. Epic experience strongly preferred.

Experience with medical group front office operations, ICD-10 & CPT coding & medical terminology, with federal, state, & payer-specific regulations relating.

Rare clinical / patient facing work environment.

Includes continuous work time indoors (subject to travel requirements) under temperature-controlled & well-lit conditions; may encounter occasional variable external environmental conditions.

Includes occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted, frequent travel & use of computer; includes continuous sitting & may require rare long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling & pushing.

Must be able to adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities & stressful situations; attend to tasks until complete, understand & relate to complex ideas & concepts & be able to remember multiple tasks & regimens extending over long periods of time & work on concurrent tasks/projects.

Read small print, frequent ability to hear normal sounds & voice patterns, able to give/receive instructions & other verbal communications in-person & over the phone/computer/device/equipment assigned with some background noise.

ADDENDUM: Functional Roles

Responsible for planning, directing, & managing support & day-to-day operational tasks for Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) Revenue Cycle in assigned Service Area with annual net patient revenue greater than or equal to $500M.

Manages Medical Group Revenue Cycle Site Operations for the assigned Health Ministries.
