Incyte Canada is advancing its ambition in dermatology, inflammation, and autoimmune diseases. As Director, Medical Affairs, you will help shape the medical direction of our marketed medicines and pipeline assets. You will connect Canadian clinical needs with our development programs, evidence-generation priorities, and portfolio strategy—building the scientific foundations that support informed decisions and appropriate patient access.

• Our medical direction: Develop and execute strategic medical plans that reflect Canadian clinical needs, emerging science, and the opportunities within our portfolio.
• Our scientific partnerships: Build sustained relationships with healthcare professionals, researchers, and clinical experts.
• Our evidence base: Lead the execution of company-sponsored and investigator-sponsored studies.
• Our readiness for growth: Support marketed medicines and pipeline assets through medical education and evidence generation.
• Our medical capabilities: Provide guidance to MSL colleagues and lead the team where applicable.

How you will make an impact:

• Lead with scientific depth and a clear medical perspective.
• Build and maintain expertise in assigned therapeutic areas.
• Translate knowledge into medical priorities, actionable plans, and initiatives.
• Contribute the medical perspective to cross-functional brand planning.
• Provide medical leadership for training and educational initiatives.
• Contribute scientific and clinical expertise to Market Access submissions.
• Create meaningful scientific engagement through exchanges with healthcare professionals.
• Develop medical education programs and scientific communication materials.
• Oversee medical congress planning and related activities.
• Lead advisory boards, investigator meetings, and other engagement activities.
• Ensure appropriate responses to unsolicited medical information requests.
• Advance research and collaborate across the organization.
• Model Incyte’s values and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• An MD, PharmD, or PhD in a life sciences discipline is preferred.
• At least 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience in Medical Affairs or related roles.
• Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare and reimbursement landscape.
• Proven leadership and people-management experience.
• Ability to turn complex scientific information into clear priorities and effective action.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen.
• Record of bringing fresh ideas and building productive partnerships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English and French is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of working time.
