Role Description
The Director, Advisory Services โ Cardiovascular, serves as a strategic clinical and sourcing leader, responsible for driving enterprise-level value across cardiovascular service lines through physician alignment, advanced sourcing strategies, and data-driven decision making.

Serve as a trusted advisor to physicians and health system leaders on cardiovascular supply chain strategy, product selection, and value optimization.

Lead physician engagement and alignment efforts across interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, vascular, and structural heart programs.

Facilitate clinician-led value analysis initiatives that balance clinical efficacy, patient outcomes, and financial stewardship.

Act as a change leader in advancing standardization, utilization optimization, and evidence-based decision making.

Develop and execute complex sourcing and contracting strategies for cardiovascular categories, with clear alignment to clinical and financial objectives.

Lead end-to-end sourcing lifecycle, including market analysis, supplier evaluation, RFI/RFP development, negotiations, and implementation.

Leverage deep knowledge of suppliers, technologies, and market dynamics to create a competitive advantage and mitigate risk.

Partner with sourcing and executive leadership to influence enterprise contracting decisions and long-term supplier strategy.

Build strong relationships with cardiologists, surgeons, and clinical leadership to influence product adoption and utilization.

Translate complex data and market insights into clear, actionable recommendations for executives.

Identify and drive measurable cost savings and value creation opportunities within cardiovascular spend categories.

Support performance improvement initiatives across member organizations, including utilization management and contract compliance.

Contribute to the development of scalable advisory offerings and best practices across cardiovascular service lines and audiences.

Lead high-impact discussions with physicians and stakeholders in complex, highly matrixed environments.

Lead or influence cross-functional teams, including sourcing, analytics, and clinical stakeholders, to execute strategic initiatives.

Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert within the organization.

Support education, training, and adoption of new processes, tools, and strategies across member organizations.
Qualifications

Bachelorโs degree required in Business, Healthcare Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field; Masterโs degree (MBA, MHA, or similar) preferred.

Clinical expertise or licensure (e.g., RN, RCIS, CV Tech, or similar) strongly preferred, or equivalent experience demonstrating deep engagement with cardiovascular clinical stakeholders.

8โ12+ years of experience in healthcare supply chain, strategic sourcing, or consulting, with a strong focus on cardiovascular categories.
Requirements

Demonstrated expertise in cardiovascular physician preference items (PPI), including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac surgery, and vascular technologies.

Proven success partnering with physicians and clinical leaders to influence product selection, utilization, and contracting decisions.

Strong experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.

Deep understanding of cardiovascular clinical workflows, procedures, and market dynamics.

Track record of delivering measurable financial and operational outcomes in complex, physician-driven environments.

Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders and clinicians.
