General duties include, but are not limited to:

• Provide general specialized diagnostic radiology services to the patients of VAMC Memphis.
• Radiology scan interpretation and report generation, using voice recognition software.
• Administration/supervision of all drugs as needed for the performance and interpretation of imaging examinations.
• Supervision of technical aspects of all aspects of radiology practiced at John J Pershing VA Med Ctr.
• Performance of additional duties in compliance with VAMC Medical Staff bylaws.
• Share in call responsibilities as assigned.
• Teleradiology.
• Draft protocols and procedures.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: 8:00 - 16:30 Mon-Fri

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens.
• Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree from an approved school.
• Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
• Completed residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Requirements

• Degree must have been obtained from an accredited institution.
• Residency training must lead to eligibility for board certification.
• Exceptions for residency training requirements may apply in rare circumstances.
