Role Description

Join our national Diabetic Eye Screening Programme (DESP) team and help improve early diagnosis and patient outcomes across the UK. InHealth supports more than 5 million patients every year, delivering high-quality screening and data solutions in partnership with NHS organisations.

As a Corporate Retinal Grader, you’ll be part of our central grading team, delivering accurate, high-quality diabetic retinal grading across all programmes. Your work will support clinical decision-making and ensure patients receive the right care at the right time. This is a full-time permanent position. In addition to the advertised salary, the role includes a £3000 bolt on annual payment for OCT grading.

What You’ll Do

• Provide first, second, arbitration, ROG and OCT grading following NDESP guidance
• Complete relevant units of the Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners and monthly EQA tests
• Become an expert user of Spectra
• Maintain excellent data security and follow all grading protocols
• Participate in competency assessments and continuous improvement
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and contribute to MDT meetings

Qualifications

• Completed Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Diploma or Level 3 Diploma for Health Screeners
• Fully signed-off to grade at all levels, including OCT
• Strong attention to detail and ability to focus for long periods
• A professional, calm and empathetic approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good IT skills and understanding of data protection
