Role Description

As a Clinical Support Specialist on our Professional Services team, you will assist in the development and localization of computer-assisted coding technology for the Canadian health industry. Your role will involve:

• Providing expert support for the development and localization of computer-assisted coding (CAC) for the Canadian market, specifically content related to auto-suggesting coding.
• Accessing and using database software to create codes for auto-suggestion.
• Accessing and using Solventum 360 Encompass to validate codes for auto-suggestion.
• Analyzing clinical terms and applying learnings to the development of the software.
• Performing concept to code mapping activities.
• Creating new diagnosis and procedural codes for auto-suggestion, considering Canadian coding classification rules and guidelines.
• Translating clinical terms into codes.
• Editing existing diagnosis and procedural codes for auto-suggestion based on feedback, testing, and classification changes.
• Reviewing and amending code actions based on customer feedback or classification changes.

Qualifications

• CHIMA - Health Information Management Certification
• Post secondary degree/diploma in health management AND a minimum of four (4) years of DAD and NACRS coding in a private, public, government, or military environment
• OR High School Diploma/GED AND eight (8) years of DAD and NACRS coding in a private, public, government, or military environment
• Experience working with ICD-10-CA & CCI and the Canadian Coding standards within a Canadian Acute Care hospital.
• Strong understanding of the processes associated with documentation in leading electronic medical record systems used in Canada (EPIC, Cerner, Medtech).
• Ability to follow established processes, rules, and conventions.
• Ability to meet appropriate deadlines for inclusion in relevant product releases.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Requirements

• Work location: Remote - Canada (Preferred Remote AB or BC)
• Travel: May include up to 15% domestic/international.

Benefits

• The expected compensation range for this position is $96,197 - $119,377 CAD.
• Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as a candidate’s experience, skills, training, and work location.
