Role Description

As a member of the Laboratory team at St. Joseph Hospital, you'll be part of a dedicated group of professionals who are committed to providing accurate and timely test results that help diagnose and treat our Long Island community.

Positions we are hiring for:

• Part-Time & Per Diem Clinical Laboratory Technologists on Evening (3pm - 11pm) and Night (11pm - 7am) Shifts
• Full-Time Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist on the Evening Shift (3pm - 11pm)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school
• Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
• Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology preferred
• Hospital experience desired
• Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled

Requirements

• For Clinical Laboratory Technologists:
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school
• Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
• Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology preferred
• Hospital experience desired
• Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• For Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist:
• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or Biomedical Sciences consistent with NYS guidelines (NAACLS ACCREDITED, ASCP or NCA Eligible)
• Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
• 4 years hospital experience required, prior lead or supervisory experience preferred OR 2 years hospital experience and a Masters Degree OR 1 year hospital experience and a PhD
