Role Description
We currently have a great opportunity for a Clinical Informatics Specialist. The Clinical Informatics Specialist is part of a multidisciplinary team that supports Caresphere WS and Middleware/LIS customers throughout the entire life cycle of our products. This includes remote instrument and workflow training and support to realize an efficient and successful customer experience of the Sysmex solution as the primary laboratory consultant from a technical perspective. Serves as a technical consultant to existing and new customers including troubleshooting and resolving performance problems. This role supports complex Caresphere WS Migrations and Middleware/LIS interface support projects in total โ includes all aspects of build, testing, training reinforcement with limited direction and serves nationally.

Implements Caresphere WS Migrations and Middleware/LIS interface support and testing projects to include rules writing, server/product configuration, validation testing, and all other support functions.

Ensures approved validation testing protocols are followed and results documented accurately.

Manage time and accounts effectively; use computers to document activity; take initiative to make changes to improve how work is done.

Promote customer satisfaction; support sales objectives and organizational directives.

Provide technical information to direct management/peers and other functional groups.

This individual must possess strong interpersonal, persuasive, problem solving and communication skills.

Requires occasional travel, up to 80%, on short notice.

Responsible for managing company assets and expenses within company guidelines.

Qualifications
-
Bachelorโs degree in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical preferred with 7-9 years of experience in LIS/Middleware required.

ASCP or CLS certification preferred.

Strong IT/LIS experience required.

Demonstrated proficiency in implementing/operating Caresphere WS, Middleware/LIS.

Strong Hematology experience preferred.

Working knowledge of CLIA/COLA required.

Microsoft Office Suite; LIS/Middleware experience.

Strong written and oral communications skills required.

Strong presentation and persuasive skills highly desirable.

Professional conduct necessary at all times even under stressful conditions.

Demonstrated ability to analyze, problem solve and evaluate technical/IT data.

Ability to assemble thoughts and conclusions into cogent and persuasive format, present professionally and gain acceptance / buy-in.

This job requires satisfaction of the credentialing requirements of Sysmexโs customers, including hospitals and other healthcare facilities, which generally includes proof of current vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), and COVID-19.
