Role Description

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

• Perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs.
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
• Understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging, including expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results.
• Assess patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures, including duration, process, and what to expect following completion.
• Provide patient education as appropriate.
• Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Select proper equipment, set correct technical factors, procedure protocols, and gather proper supplies prior to performance of the procedure.
• Recognize all radiation safety standards including “Image Gently” and “Image Wisely.”
• Understand and follow all rules around radiation protection including wearing lead protection when there is a possibility of exposure.
• Obtain clear and complete history from the patient and/or patient record and record that data into the patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.
• Perform quality assessment of images obtained and evaluate equipment issues, escalating concerns as indicated.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program, upon hire.
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
• Medical Radiographer: NE, upon hire.
