[Hiring] Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC / CSAC Supervisee) – Virtual IOP Group Facilitator @Epic Health Partners

Role Description

EPIC Health Partners is seeking passionate and motivated Certified Substance Abuse Counselors to join our growing team as virtual group facilitators within our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This role delivers virtual services, providing structured group education, relapse‑prevention support, and person‑centered interventions to individuals engaged in substance use treatment.

• Facilitate virtual psychoeducational, skills‑building, and therapeutic group sessions in accordance with ASAM criteria and program requirements.
• Support individuals in identifying treatment goals and applying recovery‑oriented skills.
• Maintain group structure, safety, engagement, and therapeutic boundaries in a virtual environment.
• Monitor participant participation and report clinical or safety concerns requiring supervisory or clinical review.
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors, case managers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation, including group notes and attendance records, in compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, and EPIC Health Partners standards.
• Provide crisis support and service coordination as needed within scope of role.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Active registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or CSAC supervisee is required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing substance use and/or mental health services in individual, family, or group settings.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria, relapse‑prevention strategies, and evidence‑based addiction treatment approaches.
• Ability to facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups in a virtual setting.
• Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain a private, confidential workspace and reliable internet access for telehealth service.

Requirements

• This is a fully virtual position, with services delivered via approved telehealth platforms.
• The anticipated schedule includes evening services approximately three (3) days per week, with about three (3) hours of group services per evening.
• Scheduling is flexible, and facilitators may provide services for all scheduled sessions or select sessions based on availability and program needs.

Compensation

• Compensation is provided at a flat rate of $150 per group session facilitated.
