[Hiring] Care Management Nurse Evaluator @California Correctional Health Care Services

Role Description

The Integrated Systems of Care Division (ISCD), Home & Community-Based Services (HCBS) Operations Branch, is seeking a Nurse Evaluator (NE) III to perform the most difficult and sensitive work within the branch to ensure the success of the HCBS programs. This individual must have strong communication and critical thinking skills, with experience leading teams. The NE III will supervise a team responsible for program operations, including:

• Overseeing and monitoring work queues
• Reviewing HCBS enrollment applications
• Adjudicating program service requests

Skills researching and applying program, state, and federal requirements, and conducting clinical reviews are essential. The work performed is vital for the Californians we service, so join us to make a difference.

This position is subject to the Department's Conflict of Interest Code and filing a Statement of Economic Interests (Form 700) when assuming office, annually while in office, and upon leaving office.

The results from the Nurse Evaluator III examination (Exam Code: 5020), with the final file date of November 30, 2026, is currently in progress and will be utilized for filling this/these position(s).

• CA Registered Nurse License (required)
