Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Scribe to support a busy U.S.-based medical practice specializing in Orthopedics, Pain Management, Spine, and Workers’ Compensation cases. This role focuses primarily on real-time medical scribing during patient visits while also assisting with patient communication, intake coordination, QME outreach, and administrative support.

• Perform real-time medical scribing using iPad-based workflows
• Accurately document patient encounters in eClinicalWorks (ECW)
• Assist providers with chart preparation and clinical documentation
• Handle inbound and outbound patient calls professionally
• Support appointment coordination and patient intake processes
• Maintain organized documentation and communication
• Support general administrative and patient coordination tasks

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Scribe or in a similar role within a U.S.-based healthcare setting
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation processes
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills

Requirements

• Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a pay rate of $7 – $8 per hour depending on skillset and experience.
• The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM PST.
