Role Description
The Counselor provides outpatient behavioral health services, including individual, family, and group counseling, in a flexible PRN capacity. This role involves:

Facilitating patient involvement in treatment and education.

Conducting psychosocial assessments.

Supporting complex discharge planning.

Acting as a liaison for cases involving abuse, neglect, domestic violence, and protective services, coordinating with community agencies.

Delivering evidence-based practices and crisis intervention.

Maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
Qualifications

Masterโs Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.

3โ5 years of relevant healthcare, mental health, or community experience.

Current license in Indiana as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, or HSPP.

Certification in crisis intervention may be required; BLS certification may also be required.

Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, MI, DBT).

Knowledge of legal mandates for child and adult protective services at the state and county levels.

Understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan.

Proficiency in crisis de-escalation and safety techniques.

Ability to create a safe, therapeutic environment and instruct on daily activities.

Basic proficiency in Electronic Medical Records and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with community partners and healthcare teams.
