Role Description
This position serves as a Behavior Analyst providing consultation to group home providers, behavior analysis providers, state office and regional behavioral analysis team members, and community stakeholders to ensure that behavior analysis services are implemented in accordance with Section 393, F.S., Rule 65G-4 and 65G-8, F.A.C., regulations and memos of understanding.
The work includes:

Completing all regional tasks per the High Watch Operating Procedure requirements.

Collaborating in conducting preliminary reviews of behavior plans and relevant documents prior to the Local Review Committee (LRC) meetings.

Scheduling for LRC presentations and attending LRC meetings in each specified regional office.

Ensuring recording, maintenance, and distribution of LRC meeting minutes and review documents to providers and other pertinent recipients.

Updating the LRC/BASE tracking database and generating the approval documents.

Completing assigned Behavior Analysis Service Eligibility (BASE) forms.

Completing regional determination of providers of Intensive Behavior (IB) and Behavior Focused (BF) residential habilitation group homes.

Collaborating with regional analysts on monitoring of all IB and BF residents.

Providing technical assistance and support to ensure placement is successful.

Completing the IB Matrix as assigned.

Reviewing, compiling, and submitting monthly documentation of Provider Reactive Strategies reports to the State Office behavioral analysis team.

Initiating and completing all necessary Regional Reactive Strategy follow-up as assigned.

Reviewing critical incidents and collaborating with the Quality Assurance team and other regional staff.

Providing training and technical assistance sessions to support coordinators, providers, and agency staff regarding regulatory practices related to the delivery of behavioral services.

Participating in Agency hearings, meetings, and client staffing’s.

Completing other duties and assignments/projects assigned to support regional functions.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related sciences preferred.

Must have a valid Driver’s License or other efficient means of transportation to travel for work purposes and be willing to travel.

Minimum 3 years of Behavior Analysis experience.

Knowledge of individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities.

Behavior Analytic standards of care, ethical practices, crisis intervention, assessment, interventions, data collection, and data analysis.

Florida’s developmental disabilities’ services system, statutes, regulations, and policies related to state facility and community services.
