[Hiring] Assistant Medical Billing Specialist @Vector Outsourcing Solutions Phils. Inc.

Role Description

• Prepare and organize medical billing documentation to ensure accurate and timely claim submission
• Review patient records for completeness and accuracy prior to billing
• Accurately enter and update billing data in the system and internal tracking tools
• Support billers and coders by ensuring all required documentation is complete and readily available
• Verify insurance information and identify discrepancies for escalation to the billing team
• Monitor claim status and maintain updated records in internal systems
• Assist in resolving minor claim issues and escalate complex concerns to billers or coders as needed
• Generate detailed reports on pending, in-progress, and completed tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance verification, and claims lifecycle
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and validate data for accuracy and completeness
• Proficient in data entry and comfortable using spreadsheets and internal tracking tools
• Good understanding of insurance verification processes and common discrepancies
• Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and compliance
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for coordination with billers, coders, and internal teams
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify minor issues and escalate complex concerns appropriately
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment
