[Hiring] Advanced Practice Provider, APP, Virtual Critical Care @American Addiction Centers

Role Description

The APP will be expected to manage medical and surgical ICU patients and is encouraged to practice at the top of their license. Essential functions include:

• Obtain a medical history and physical exam
• Document findings and prepare a plan of care in a timely manner
• Order medications and appropriate tests/procedures
• Attend, participate in, and contribute to group/practice meetings
• Development of policies and procedures
• Quality improvement initiatives

Work tele-critical care from home. Patient population includes adult general medical and surgical ICU patients. Shifts are rotated equally among staff.

Qualifications

• Acute Care Board Certified
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Minimum of three years of recent critical care experience practicing as an NP or PA
• Actively working in a critical care setting
• Strong clinical expertise in the management of critically ill patients
• WI & IL licensure required

Requirements

• Shifts available in 5-hour and 8-hour durations
• Evening, overnight coverage, weekends, and holidays included
