Role Description
UNC Health Medical Group is currently seeking Physician Assistants and/or Family Nurse Practitioners to join our Virtual Practice Primary Care Team. The UNC Health Virtual Practice offers scheduled and on-demand video, telephone, and E-Visits for a range of primary care conditions, allowing patients access to convenient, personalized care that fits their schedule - 16 hours per day, 365 days per year.

Rotating schedule working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays according to department minimums

Virtual management of acute and chronic primary care needs

No call

Remote position, offering the opportunity for work/life balance with no commute. Must be physically located in the state of NC
Qualifications

2+ years of primary care experience is required
-
Experience with behavioral health is a plus
-
Open-minded and flexible with change

Strong virtual presence

Dedicated to developing new and exciting ways to deliver care
Requirements
-
Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program

Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) in the state of North Carolina

Board certification if required by the Department. DEA

Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills

Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting

Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing
