Role Description

As an ACT, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring every prescription is dispensed accurately, safely and on time. Working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment, you’ll be responsible for:

• Checking dispensed items
• Maintaining high standards of quality and compliance
• Helping the team meet key service and performance targets
• Spotting opportunities for improvement
• Promoting best practice
• Keeping dispensary operations running safely and efficiently

Qualifications

• Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification, or Pharmacy Technician qualification with ACT accreditation
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Previous experience working in a pharmacy environment, including community, online, or dispensing pharmacy settings

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a regulated environment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing competing priorities and deadlines
• Confident using IT systems and able to quickly learn new technologies and processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate-level Excel skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals and service standards
• Demonstrates initiative, a proactive approach to problem solving, and a commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD)
