Role Description
We are looking for a data-driven YouTube Channel Manager who can take full ownership of channel growth, content strategy, and performance. This role is highly focused on analytics, ideation, and scaling channels, rather than video editing. You will work closely with editors and content teams to ensure videos are optimized for maximum reach, engagement, and retention.
Key Responsibilities

Channel Growth and Strategy

Own and execute the overall YouTube growth strategy

Identify opportunities to scale views, subscribers, and watch time

Develop content frameworks and repeatable format

Content Planning & Ideation
-
Generate high-performing video ideas based on trends, competitors, and data

Plan weekly/monthly content calendars
-
Work with scriptwriters/editors to ensure strong hooks and storytelling

Analytics & Performance Tracking
-
Deep dive into YouTube Analytics (CTR, retention, watch time, drop-offs)

Identify patterns and optimize underperforming content
-
Provide actionable insights to improve future videos

Packaging & Optimization
-
Guide thumbnails, titles, and descriptions for maximum CTR

Run A/B testing on titles and thumbnails
-
Ensure all uploads follow YouTube SEO best practices

Collaboration & Execution
-
Coordinate with video editors, designers, and other stakeholders

Ensure timely publishing and consistency

Maintain quality control across all uploads
Qualifications
-
5β10 years of professional video editing experience
-
Proven experience managing and growing YouTube channels (long-form video)
-
Experience with tools like YouTube Studio, VidIQ, TubeBuddy, etc.

Strong understanding of YouTube algorithm, trends, and audience behavior
-
Ability to interpret data and turn it into actionable strategies

Willingness to undergo and pass a background check as a condition of employment (a consent form will be provided to shortlisted candidates)

Ability to work with the Zoom camera open during shifts
Requirements

Experience working with large or fast-scaling channels (worked with channels that have 200k subscribers and above)

Exposure to multiple niches (education, business, storytelling, etc.)

Basic understanding of editing workflows (not hands-on)

Experience with YouTube automation or content scaling models

Strong content sense (what works, what doesnβt, and why)

Experience working remotely and collaborating with distributed teams
