Role Description
Acorns is seeking a Social Media Manager who thrives on creating bold, engaging, and culturally relevant content that connects with our customers. In this role, you’ll own key platforms, shape our brand voice, and lead conversations that matter in the financial wellness and investing space.
- Responsible for implementing and leading social strategy for both Acorns and Acorns Early that connects to larger marketing and business goals
- Grow and evolve Acorns’ social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Substack, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other emerging platforms
- Develop, manage, and execute a dynamic content calendar, ensuring timely, relevant, and strategic content across priority channels
- Own the Acorns voice on social and collaborate across marketing, creative, and product cross-functional teams
- Be a leader in day-to-day community management, engaging in conversations about and with Acorns
- Collaborate with creative cross-functional partners to bring to life dynamic content
- Stay ahead of trends and find opportunities to integrate Acorns into relevant conversations
- Source and share impactful customer stories that inspire and connect with our audience
- Scope and manage creators as needed for social content and partnerships
- Analyze and report on social performance, providing insights on engagement, audience growth, and content effectiveness
- Actively pitch and execute thumb-stopping brand ideas across social media channels
Qualifications
- 5-8 years experience in social media—whether for a brand, personal projects, or freelance work
- A strong portfolio of engaging content—including short-form videos, Reels, and TikToks
- Hands-on experience managing social channels, creating and developing digital content
- A deep understanding of social trends & culture
- On-camera presence with authenticity, wit, humor, confidence, enthusiasm, and a unique perspective
- Proven creative development skills with fresh, bold ideas
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills
- Creative and strategic thinking
- A self-starter mindset
- Proficiency in key social and content tools
- Deep empathy and passion for our customer and their experience with Acorns

Compensation Information
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $140,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors.
