Role Description
The Social Media Coordinator supports the delivery of social media activity across a portfolio of client accounts. Sitting within a global Social Media team, this role focuses on hands-on execution across organic content, paid campaigns, community management, and reporting. The role will be involved in bringing content and campaigns to life across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, while building a strong foundation in how social media works - from content creation through to performance and optimisation. Working closely with Social Media Leads and Managers, this role offers the opportunity to develop practical social media skills, gain exposure to global clients, and grow into more ownership over time.

Support the day-to-day execution of social media activity across assigned client accounts, including social-first content, paid campaigns, community engagement, and reporting.

Create, schedule, and publish social content, ensuring posts are accurate, on-brand, and aligned to content plans.

Maintain and update content calendars, supporting consistent and timely delivery across campaigns and always-on activity.

Monitor community engagement, responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner and in line with the brand tone of voice.

Draft responses to reviews on platforms such as Glassdoor and Indeed, supporting employer brand reputation and sentiment.

Assist in the setup and delivery of paid social campaigns, including audience targeting, budget tracking, and basic optimization.

Track and report on social media performance, supporting the identification of trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.

Support competitor analysis and social audits, gathering insight on content performance and platform activity.

Stay up to date with platform features, trends, and best practices, applying this knowledge to day-to-day delivery.

Collaborate with creative and brand teams to develop social-first content, including writing copy and supporting asset creation.

Support content shoots where required, helping capture content suitable for social platforms.

Support the creation of short-form video content (e.g. TikTok, Reels), including basic editing or content capture.

Support social media operations, including organising content and assets, reviewing video footage, maintaining folders and project boards, and supporting meeting coordination through note-taking and agenda preparation.

Work closely with Social Media Leads and Managers to deliver high-quality work and continue developing social media skills.

Qualifications

Bachelorβs degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field (or equivalent experience).

1β2 yearsβ experience in a corporate, agency, or digital environment is preferred but not essential.

A genuine interest in social media, content, and employer brand marketing.

Proactive in staying up to date with social media trends, platforms, and digital culture.

Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, platforms, and content trends.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and adapt tone of voice.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).

Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage tasks and deadlines.

High attention to detail across content and day-to-day delivery.

Collaborative mindset, working effectively with others, and open to feedback.

Interest in social media platforms (e.g. LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) and how brands use them.

Familiarity with social media tools or content creation is beneficial but not required.
