Role Description

This is a remote position. Supporting the growth of an established UK accountancy and tax advisory firm, this part-time remote contract position drives brand visibility across digital platforms. Working approximately 15 to 20 hours per week, the role manages the daily execution of scheduled posts, content repurposing, and short-form video editing to engage business owners, directors, and landlords. The focus of this position is content coordination and digital channel maintenance.

Working directly alongside the Founder & CEO, the successful candidate converts raw video clips, audio voice notes, and approved scripts into polished, multi-platform media assets. The environment requires a self-directed professional who maintains a structured content calendar, tracks community engagement, and proactively resolves scheduling blockages.

Key Responsibilities

• Social Media Calendar Management: Own the scheduling and publishing timeline across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, using dedicated scheduling tools to deploy weekly posts and stories on time.
• Short-Form Video Production: Edit raw desk-video clips into subtitled, captioned short-form videos with text-overlay hooks and clean pacing.
• Content Repurposing: Convert single video scripts or long-form material into multiple derivative assets, including carousel outlines, social captions, and story frames.
• Trend & Competitor Intelligence: Research industry trends weekly to identify emerging short-form video formats and flag potential content ideas.
• Engagement & Channel Monitoring: Track incoming comments, direct messages, and brand mentions, flagging technical or personal inquiries requiring direct founder input.
• Asset & Library Organisation: Maintain the hygiene of the central content calendar and media asset storage folders.
• Community Research Support: Provide basic research covering industry news, competitor developments, and local business community updates.

Qualifications

• Proven Social Media Experience: Demonstrated history managing business social media channels within an agency, virtual assistant, or in-house capacity, supported by a portfolio of work.
• Video Editing Proficiency: Confident technical video editing capabilities, including subtitling, cutting down footage, and maintaining clean visual pacing.
• Professional Tone & Writing: Strong written English with the capacity to craft warm, professional, non-salesy copy tailored to a professional audience.
• Geographic & Schedule Alignment: Based in South Africa with reliable operational overlap during UK working hours.
• Self-Management: Highly reliable approach to managing deadlines and administrative tasks independently without requiring ongoing supervision.

Desirable Requirements

• Prior experience creating content for accountancy, financial services, or regulated professional services environments.
