[Hiring] Short Form Video Content Creator @Glimmr

Role Description

Glimmr is hiring a full-time, in-house Short-Form Video Content Creator and Social Media Manager to lead the creation and growth of our presence on TikTok and Instagram. This is a dedicated creator position. You will be responsible for:

• Ideating, filming, editing, and publishing original short-form video content on a daily basis.
• Managing and growing our social media channels and community.
• Owning short-form video production end to end, from concept through filming, editing, and publishing across Instagram Reels and TikTok.
• Publishing original short-form content on a near-daily basis.
• Creating video content to support promotions, campaigns, and new product launches, in collaboration with the marketing manager and creative team.
• Growing Glimmr’s TikTok and Instagram accounts, expanding reach, and building an engaged community.
• Managing day-to-day community engagement, including responding to comments and direct messages.
• Maintaining the social media content calendar and contributing to the broader marketing calendar in coordination with the marketing manager.
• Developing and executing short- and long-term content strategies to grow audience, engagement, and reach.
• Monitoring content performance and using insights to continuously refine the content strategy.

Qualifications

• A natural and engaging on-camera presence and demonstrated, hands-on experience creating short-form video for TikTok and Instagram Reels, supported by a portfolio of work.
• Strong video editing skills and a sharp understanding of hooks, pacing, and current trends.
• Ability to independently manage the full content process, from concept through publication.
• A track record of consistent, high-volume content production.
• A strong understanding of how short-form video and social media growth work today.

Requirements

• Experience creating beauty or haircare content, a background as a hair stylist or hair professional, or a genuine personal passion for beauty and hair.
• Experience growing a brand or personal social media account from an early stage.
• Located in or near Ann Arbor, Michigan (not required; this is a fully remote position).

Location and Schedule

• Fully remote. Open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.
• Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time, with occasional weekend availability if needed.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Compensation

• Salary: $80,000 to $115,000 per year depending on experience.
• Bonus: Performance-based bonus.
• Type: Full-time, salaried, W-2 position.

Equipment Provided

• Glimmr provides the equipment needed to perform the role, including camera, lighting, microphones, and a computer.
• The successful candidate will use their own smartphone.
• Additional equipment and materials required for the role may be expensed.
