Role Description
Responsibilities include workload planning and prioritization of marketing and business development support personnel in conducting research and intelligence gathering for potential pursuits; development of strategy for proposals and interviews; as well as writing and producing statements of qualifications, proposals, and interview presentations. The optimal candidate will have superior management and organizational skills, effectiveness in collaborating with business development leadership, technical experts, and federal contracts management personnel as well as knowledge and experience with capture and management of major indefinite quantity / indefinite delivery contracts. Additional skills of importance include data management, excellent writing capabilities, a strong design sensibility, and the ability to structure complex information and content into effective storytelling, regardless of the medium.
The position requires team collaboration, hands-on attention to details, creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to deliver high-quality work products in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements

Assist the Director of Business Development with cross-leveling of resources, organization, and prioritization of foreseeable/projected and day-to-day capture, pursuit, and proposal workload

Assist Client and Practice Leads, contracts management, and marketing specialists with organization of data, development of presentations, graphics, and compelling text for statements of qualifications, RFIs, and account planning and reporting

Lead and collaborate with capture leads, pursuit managers, and marketing specialists

Be a key player in capture and pursuit development, overseeing consistency of messaging and delivery across Client Working Groups and Accounts

Collect and build on lessons learned to improve the teamβs responsiveness and win rates over time

Assist with Deltek Capture Management opportunities data entry and management and associated reporting

Support and, as necessary, lead proposal development to include:

Define proposal structure and organization per RFP/RFQ instructions to develop responsive writing outlines, input requirements, and templates
-
Be a full participant in the writing of project descriptions, personnel qualifications, description of management planning and quality control measures and other components of a typical RFQ/RFP

Coordinate development of and communicate schedules for proposal completion

Fully understand RFP/RFQ instructions as to all supplemental forms/requirements that must be completed

Support development of subcontractor teaming agreements and relationships

Craft and organize data calls to subcontractors

Track and communicate RFQ/RFP amendments with proposal writing team

Edit and rewrite proposal sections to achieve a concise, coherent message
