Role Description
829's Senior Media Buyer is a senior individual contributor responsible for the hands-on execution, optimization, and performance delivery of a multi-million dollar programmatic media investment for a single enterprise account. This role serves as the in-platform authority across DSPs, owning campaign setup, audience deployment, inventory strategy, and real-time optimization across display, video, native, CTV, and audio environments. You will partner closely with the Account Director, acting as the executional engine behind programmatic strategy, ensuring flawless activation, efficient spend, and measurable business impact at scale.
What You'll Do

Campaign Execution & Ownership:

Own end-to-end campaign execution across DSPs (DV360, StackAdapt, TTD, etc.)

Build, launch, and QA campaigns across display, video, CTV, native, and audio
-
Maintain scalable campaign structures (IOs, line items, naming conventions) with strict accuracy

Inventory & Deal Management:

Activate and optimize across open exchange, PMP, preferred, and programmatic guaranteed deals
-
Manage deal IDs and publisher relationships to unlock premium inventory
-
Drive supply path optimization (SPO) to improve efficiency and transparency
-
Audience Activation:
-
Deploy and optimize 1P, 3P, and contextual audiences
-
Execute audience layering, exclusions, and segmentation strategies

Budget Management & Pacing:
-
Manage multi-million dollar budgets with precise daily pacing and allocation
-
Adjust bids, budgets, and tactics in real time to hit performance and delivery targets
-
Proactively identify and mitigate pacing risks

Optimization & Performance:
-
Optimize bidding, inventory, audiences, and creative to improve CPA, ROAS, and efficiency
-
Manage frequency, reach, and duplication—especially across CTV and video
-
Identify performance drivers and scale high-impact tactics
-
CTV & Video Execution:
-
Lead execution across CTV and OLV, including inventory selection and deal activation
-
Optimize for completion rate, viewability, and reach—not just clicks
-
Manage cross-channel frequency and audience overlap
-
Tracking & Measurement:
-
Ensure accurate pixel implementation, event tracking, and attribution alignment
-
Support incrementality testing, lift studies, and advanced measurement initiatives
-
Troubleshoot discrepancies and maintain data integrity

Testing & Experimentation:

Execute structured test plans across inventory, audiences, creative, and bidding strategies
-
Scale winning tactics and eliminate underperformers
-
Document and apply learnings to improve future performance

Insights & Collaboration:

Analyze performance data to deliver actionable insights and optimization recommendations
-
Partner with strategists, creative, and analytics teams to drive integrated execution
-
Contribute to reporting with a focus on performance drivers and next actions
Qualifications

5-8+ years in digital media planning and buying, with deep expertise in both site-direct and programmatic environments

Expert-level proficiency with DSPs (StackAdapt, DV360, Basis, TTD), Ad Servers (Campaign Manager), and Web Analytics (GA4)

Proven track record managing diverse media types, including OTT/CTV, Streaming Audio, and Traditional Linear/Radio

Expert knowledge of remarketing and advanced targeting (dynamic creative, CRM, lookalike, and predictive modeling)

Ability to map data partners to the customer journey—activating contextual signals for awareness and deterministic identity for conversion

Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to tell a compelling story through data for high-growth performance accounts
