Role Description
Support mission-critical initiatives and enable the growth of our business as a Communications Specialist Senior at GDIT. Here, you’ll become an integral part of how GDIT is able to ensure the safety and security of our nation.
As a Communications Specialist Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of CMS' Healthcare Fraud Prevention Partnership (HFPP) and Medicaid Integrity Institute (MII). You will play a crucial role in advancing marketing and communication efforts for these programs.

HOW A COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Under the guidance of the Trusted Third Party (TTP) Marketing and Communications Manager:

Create public and internal facing documents for HFPP: newsletters, blogs, and other branding documents.

Assist in planning, executing, and optimizing campaigns within the designated email marketing platform.

Maintain and update distribution lists to support accurate and effective outreach.

Develop, track, and interpret metrics to assess campaign performance and inform improvements.

Proofread, edit, and refine written materials to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with HFPP standards.

Create, distribute, and manage surveys to support data collection and engagement efforts.

Support Quality Assurance activities to ensure all communications meet Section 508 accessibility requirements.

Assist with audio and video production requests.

Contribute to marketing research initiatives that inform communication strategies.

Uphold and protect HFPP’s brand identity across all internal and external communications, including tone, voice, and visual presentation.

Support the TTP Marketing and Communications Manager with special projects and ad-hoc requests from TTP leadership.

Design, update, and maintain landing pages using HTML.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

5+ years of progressively responsible experience in communications, marketing, or a related discipline.

Strong communications and strategic planning capabilities.

Proficiency in HTML and web design.

Experience with email marketing platforms and campaign execution.

Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
