Role Description

You will turn PriceLabs' market and pricing data into clear, insightful and “aha”-inducing stories used in PR, thought leadership, and executive-level communication.

PriceLabs has access to some of the most granular pricing and booking data in the short-term rental industry. While our product allows customers to automate their decision making or do deep analysis with the data, we need speed and consistency in turning that data into high-quality external stories from a branding perspective.

This role is a strong fit for analytical and creative folks who:

• Enjoy structuring ambiguous questions
• Are comfortable deciding what matters (and what doesn't)
• Care deeply about insights being right
• Care deeply about how insights are presented
• Want ownership rather than slide-factory work

If you’ve lost track of time slicing, dicing and visualizing data multiple ways to share with others whether the trend you’re seeing is causation, correlation or noise, this might be the right role for you.

Insight discovery

• Translate open-ended questions into analytical approaches
• Pull and explore internal datasets and BI tools
• Select the right metrics, comparisons, and cuts
• Identify trends and patterns worth sharing externally

Storytelling & narrative framing

• Distil analyses into clear story angles and headlines
• Structure narratives that answer: why this matters, who should care, and what it implies
• Ensure every story has a point of view
• Use LLMs as a thinking and drafting partner — while keeping the point of view, judgment, and editorial bar your own

Visualization & presentation quality

• Create clean, external-ready charts and visuals
• Choose the right visualization for the message
• Maintain a clear bar between internal analysis and PR-ready assets / public presentations
• Use AI tooling where it helps (chart drafts, formatting, copy polish) without compromising the visual standard

Enablement & collaboration

• Partner closely with PR, content, and marketing
• Build reusable datasets, templates, and standards
• Reduce rework and approval loops
• Build lightweight automations and reusable AI workflows so the team scales without adding headcount

What success looks like

• PR stories move faster and require less rewriting
• Data-driven stories are published more frequently
• Market data presentations feel consistently sharp and draw interest from the audience
• PriceLabs becomes a go-to source for market insight

How we work

We treat AI as leverage, not as a replacement for thinking. You'll use LLMs throughout your workflow and share what's working with the rest of the team. Your judgment, taste, and accountability for the final output stay with you.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in roles that require data wrangling, analysis, preparing slides / stories, presenting insights
• Strong analytical skills - tool (SQL/Excel/BI tools etc.) less important than quality of analysis
• Proven experience creating executive or public presentation ready slides
• Comfort taking a point of view
• Clear, structured communicator
• Fluent (or eager to become fluent) with LLMs as part of daily workflow
• Curiosity to wonder how a specific industry might be impacted by an unrelated event happening somewhere in the world

Nice to have

• SaaS, marketplace, travel, or hospitality exposure
• Experience supporting PR or external communications
• Experience working with messy, real-world data
• Experience building lightweight automations (Python scripts, no-code tools, prompt chains) to remove repetitive work
