Role Description
The Senior Manager, Medical Education Brand Strategy & Communications is a cross-functional leadership role responsible for developing and executing communications strategies that position the Zimmer Biomet Institute as a premium, industry-leading medical education brand. This role owns the end-to-end communications portfolio spanning:

Creative direction across 100+ education and event initiatives annually
This individual partners closely with Medical Education leadership, Medical Affairs, Product Marketing, Commercial Marketing, Sales, and Executive Leadership.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or

Associate's Degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or
-
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience required.

5+ years of experience leading marketing communications for large-scale events, medical congresses, or experiential marketing programs.

3+ years of demonstrated social media strategy leadership with measurable audience growth and engagement results in a regulated healthcare environment preferred.

Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Life Science, related industry, or Agency experience preferred.

Proficiency in copywriting for traditional and social media communications.

Experience managing agencies, budgets, and multiple concurrent projects with speed and precision preferred.

Proficiency in Adobe Marketo, Sprout Social, and Veeva PromoMats preferred.

Demonstrated experience with social media strategy and execution in a regulated healthcare environment preferred.

Proven ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization preferred.
Requirements

Develops and executes US marketing and communication strategies and integrated campaigns for company-owned medical education programs and national medical congresses and company-sponsored events at industry and clinical conferences.

Owns the Zimmer Biomet Institute brand strategy β positioning, messaging architecture, visual identity, creative standards, and brand guidelines.

Leads social media strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

Develops thought leadership platforms and campaigns to position Zimmer Biomet Institute leaders as medical education experts.

Develops and manages multi-channel content calendars and communication plans spanning digital, social, email, web, video, print, and on-site channels.

Translates complex clinical, surgical, and scientific information into compelling, audience-centric narratives.

Partners cross-functionally with various departments to align with strategic objectives and brand standards.

Leads the medical education communications strategy for company participation at major national and international medical congresses.

Oversees communications and customer experience design for physician education programs.

Conducts competitive analysis and audience research to inform messaging strategy.

Defines key performance indicators and builds analytics dashboards to measure campaign effectiveness.

Develops executive presentations, leadership talking points, strategic narratives, and executive-ready performance summaries.

Manages external creative agencies, event production companies, digital partners, and freelance resources.

Travel Expectations
Overnight domestic and international travel required, up to 35% annually, with peak periods during major medical congresses, company-owned education events, and industry conferences. Travel may include extended on-site presence for multi-day events.

Expected Compensation Range: $129k to $145k, plus target bonus.
