Role Description

The Head of Japan Marketing is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all marketing functions within the Japan entity, including Field, Product, Digital, and Channel Marketing.

• Develop Japan's Go-To-Market Strategy by bridging the gap between local Sales Leadership and Global/APAC Marketing organizations.
• Drive brand awareness, demand generation, and revenue growth.
• Optimize targeting and messaging to reflect unique customer needs while ensuring local execution aligns with global standards.
• Spearhead a localized Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy by orchestrating collaboration across Sales, SDR, Presales, and Global teams.
• Drive sustainable revenue growth for both New Logo acquisition and Install Base expansion through campaigns informed by competitive analysis and industry trends.
• Architect integrated demand generation and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs.
• Maintain oversight of mission-critical KPIs including pipeline velocity, sourced revenue, and ROI.
• Own and optimize the Japan marketing budget, ensuring disciplined resource allocation.
• Lead strategic alignment with Tier-1 Channel Partners and Cloud partners.
• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team across Digital, Field, and Channel functions.
• Direct external agencies and vendors to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of marketing experience in the IT sector (Cloud/Security preferred).
• 5+ years in a leadership or people management role.
• Proven ability to build proactive annual plans and GTM strategies from the ground up.
• Exceptional ability to influence senior-level stakeholders and manage cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Marketo, and Tableau.
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English.
