Role Description
The MarCom Department at Milliman, Global Corporate Services (GCS) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Media & Publishing Assistant to join our small but high-impact Marketing & Communications team. This role is ideal for an early-career communicator with strong writing skills, a passion for communications, and an interest in both social media and editorial publishing. The person in this role will support a wide range of initiatives β from media monitoring and database upkeep to publication workflows and social media execution. This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad MarCom experience in a collaborative, content-driven environment.
Responsibilities

Write every day, including social media content and email and other promotional marketing copy

Assist with publication pipeline through editorial, project management, and light formatting support

Write press releases, coordinate distribution via newswires and social media

Create social media content, including text, photos, and videos

Assist in social media listening and administration of the firmβs social media policy

Track and record daily media mentions using internal and external tools
Qualifications
-
College degree
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, media, or publishing

Working knowledge of M365 suite

Proficient with MS Word; knowledge of Word formatting and design features

Working knowledge of media platforms like Hootsuite and Muck Rack

Exceptional writing skills
Requirements

Experience with project management systems/tools such as Wrike (preferred)

Understanding/no fear of AI as a tool for content and creative development (preferred)
Compensation
The overall salary range for this role is $59,200 - $109,020. For candidates residing in:

Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Newark, San Jose, San Francisco, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia: $68,080 - $109,020

All other locations: $59,200 - $94,800
A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
