[Hiring] Marketo Architect @EPAM Systems

Role Description

We are looking for a Marketo Architect to join our team. You will deliver a production-ready instance integrated with SFDC, custom Heroku middleware, and third-party martech, while guiding migration, sync, attribution, and deliverability readiness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a fully provisioned Marketo production instance and lead the manual migration of up to 100 historical marketing programs via the Marketo Program Import Wizard.
• Validate that local assets, smart campaigns, and tokens transfer without breaking campaign architecture.
• Perform a detailed pre-migration inventory of images, emails, landing pages, forms, and smart campaigns to decide what to migrate versus retire.
• Audit the source database to remove inactive or duplicate records and produce a complete Data Dictionary mapping CRM, Marketo-only, and custom fields.
• Export global unsubscribes, blocklists, and hard bounces from the legacy system and import them as a Trusted List Import to maintain privacy and deliverability compliance.
• Run an end-to-end Salesforce sync using custom sync filters to isolate and import legacy records based on the completed database audit.
• Route all incoming lead data through the configured Heroku middleware pipeline and partner with developers to implement UUID matching logic that deduplicates dynamically and prevents API race conditions during parallel database writes.
• Combine configuration scripts and routing rules into the version control repository.
• Integrate and configure Adobe Marketo Measure to calculate MTA models across active channels, align CRM Campaign touchpoint rules to standard attribution models, and help design a robust lead scoring model.
• Configure Marketo webhooks and custom API LaunchPoint services to ingest and map data elements from Demandbase, Lytics, ZoomInfo, and Salesforce.
• Plan and execute a phased IP warming schedule in the new Marketo instance to build ISP sender reputation and maximize deliverability ahead of full launch.
• Execute end-to-end SIT test scripts to prove data integrity across the SFDC sync and Heroku pipeline, and write a Technical Design Document covering sync filters, field mappings, deduplication rules, and MTA schema.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Marketo Developer experience (7+ years) delivering complex Adobe Marketo Engage implementations.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Software Architect.
• Valid Adobe Marketo Engage certification.
• Deep expertise in native Marketo-Salesforce bidirectional sync, custom sync filters, Salesforce profile permissions, and CRM data schemas.
• Proven track record managing large-scale Marketo-to-Marketo migrations, including database cleansing, Program Import Wizard usage, and blackout window coordination.
• Demonstrated experience deploying Adobe Marketo Measure, including JavaScript deployment, ad platform integration, and configuring custom and standard attribution models.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, custom webhooks, and data synchronization logic, with experience partnering with developers on Heroku or similar middleware pipelines to resolve deduplication and payload issues.
• Proficiency in English at a B2+ level (Upper-Intermediate).
