[Hiring] Marketing Intern @CivicScience

Role Description

CivicScience internships are designed to introduce students to the world of market intelligence, advertising, and media. We are currently seeking an undergraduate or graduate student to join us in January 2027 for 6-10 weeks, up to 20 hours per week, with flexibility to meet student needs and academic requirements.

In this role, you will partner with the VP, Product Marketing, receiving direct mentorship and regular guidance to explore how modern advertising platforms leverage responsibly sourced, high-quality audience data to produce desired outcomes and meaningful results for clients.

As an intern, you will learn to:

• Translate real-time consumer opinion data into compelling marketing narratives, sales collateral, and industry trend reports.
• Understand the development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, content calendars, and brand initiatives.
• Organize and manage marketing asset libraries, pitch materials, and standardized brand design templates.
• Track and interpret essential performance metrics across digital marketing channels to observe how data informs campaign optimizations.
• Research industry dynamics, cookieless advertising trends, and competitive positioning across the ad tech and digital media landscapes.
• Create structured project deliverables, presentations, and written portfolio pieces that fulfill requirements for academic credit.
• Use tools like Canva and AI-powered platforms to help design marketing materials, streamline content creation, and bring creative ideas to life.
• Experiment with AI and new tools and take ownership of selected projects.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Eligibility to receive college credits for an unpaid internship (academic documentation required).
• Ability to convey ideas clearly and persuasively with a strong interest in consumer insights and digital advertising.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including impeccable grammar and attention to detail.
• Tech literacy across standard office and collaboration platforms (Google Workspace, presentation tools).

Requirements

• CivicScience internships are remote (work from home) roles for US-based undergraduate or graduate students.
• Time commitment is up to 20 hours per week for 6-10 weeks.
• Preference is given to candidates in the Eastern time zone.
