Role Description
As a Content and Email Marketing Manager at Amen Clinics, you’ll play a vital role in our marketing team, driving our content and email marketing strategies with the intention of driving traffic, leads and enhancing organic search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. You’ll be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing content and email campaigns, which includes working with our writers, designers and have a solid understanding of Email Service providers to create and schedule multiple emails per week. Your passion for marketing and commitment to staying updated with industry trends (including AI-driven innovations) will be crucial in promoting and engaging our target audience effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Content Marketing:

Craft and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy in alignment with our company’s strategic goals.

Lead the way in curating, editing, and publishing captivating content across diverse digital platforms, from engaging blogs to eBooks, listicles, video, social media posts, and many other types of compelling materials.

Collaborate closely with our talented writers and design team to bring your ideas to life, creating visually stunning infographics and visuals.

Keep a finger on the pulse of industry trends, ensuring our content remains current, relevant, and competitive.

Leverage AI-powered tools to enhance content ideation, drafting, and optimization, improving team efficiency and output quality.

Email Marketing:

Implement impactful email marketing campaigns that spotlight our products, services, and content with the intention of driving relevant traffic to our website.

Master the art of email list segmentation, using customer behaviors like past engagement and website interactions to deliver the right messages to the right people.
-
Dive into the data to track and analyze campaign results, from open rates to click-through rates and conversions.

Ensure strict adherence to email compliance regulations including the CAN-SPAM Act, HIPAA considerations relevant to healthcare communications, and applicable state-level privacy laws (e.g., CCPA).

Maintain proper unsubscribe workflows, consent documentation, and data handling practices.

Consistently cultivate an irresistible brand voice across all email communications.

Design and manage marketing automation workflows to nurture leads, re-engage inactive contacts, and support patient acquisition journeys — including triggered sequences, drip campaigns, and behavioral automations.

Utilize Ortto to build, deploy, and optimize automated campaigns; experience with Ortto is a plus.

AI & Marketing Technology:

Apply a working understanding of AI tools and platforms (e.g., generative AI for copywriting, AI-powered analytics, predictive segmentation) to elevate campaign performance and content quality.

Stay current on emerging AI applications in digital marketing and proactively identify opportunities to integrate new technologies into workflows.
-
Use AI responsibly and in compliance with company guidelines, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment, and appropriate human oversight of AI-generated content.

Collaboration and Team Leadership:

Forge strong connections with our team, including others in marketing, as well as other departments, including operations, clinic directors, and clinic outreach managers.

Lead a team of content creators (writers, designers, video production) and others in the marketing team, providing them with invaluable feedback and guidance to nurture a culture of continuous growth and improvement.

Utilizing Project Management Software to keep the team up-to-date with projects.
Qualifications
-
A bachelor’s degree (ideally in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism).

3–5 years of experience in content marketing and email marketing.
-
Proficiency in email marketing software (Klaviyo preferred).
-
Experience with marketing automation platforms; Ortto knowledge is a plus.

Demonstrated understanding of email compliance regulations including CAN-SPAM, HIPAA-adjacent communications standards, and applicable privacy laws (e.g., CCPA).

Working knowledge of AI tools used in marketing contexts, including generative AI for content, AI-powered analytics, and automated personalization.

Superb writing and editing skills with an eagle eye for details.

The analytical prowess to decipher web traffic and email campaign metrics.

Adeptness with SEO, keyword research, and the invaluable insights of Google Analytics.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
