[Hiring] Lifecycle & Retention Marketing Manager @RemotelyTalents

Role Description

Our client is a New York–based brand creating nature-inspired and fantasy-driven jewelry for customers seeking something beyond traditional fine jewelry. We’re looking for someone to own the customer journey after acquisition, from first purchase through repeat purchase and advocacy. This is a strategic and hands-on role. You’ll decide what to communicate, to whom, when, and why, then write the copy, design and build the email in Klaviyo, launch it, and use the results to improve what comes next.

What You’ll Own

• Lifecycle strategy:
  • Develop journeys for first-time buyers, repeat customers, VIPs, and lapsed customers.
  • Improve repeat purchase rate, purchase frequency, loyalty, and customer lifetime value.
• Email and SMS:
  • Own campaigns and automated flows end to end, including planning, copy, on-brand design, segmentation, QA, launch, reporting, and optimization.
  • Build and improve welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, cross-sell, win-back, VIP, and other relevant flows.
• Post-purchase experience:
  • Improve communications from order confirmation onward, including product care, styling, reviews, referrals, and the path to a second purchase.
  • Work with Customer Service and Operations to address recurring friction.
• Loyalty and advocacy:
  • Develop VIP, rewards, early-access, and referral initiatives based on what motivates customers to return.
• Customer insights and reporting:
  • Use purchase data, feedback, surveys, and structured tests to understand why customers buy, return, or disengage.
  • Track retention, LTV, purchase frequency, cohort and flow performance, and turn findings into clear next steps.

You’ll also coordinate lifecycle messaging around launches, restocks, promotions, and key brand moments with the founder, growth, creative, and social teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in lifecycle, CRM, retention, or ecommerce marketing.
• Hands-on experience building and launching email campaigns and automated flows in Klaviyo or a similar platform, plus experience with SMS.
• Strong copywriting and a good eye for email design, merchandising, and conversion.
• Confidence using customer and purchase data to guide segmentation, testing, and decisions.
• A sense of ownership: you can set the strategy, execute it yourself, and challenge assumptions with evidence.
• Experience in jewelry, fashion, beauty, or another visual consumer category is a plus.
