Role Description
We’re looking for a curious, driven Marketing Intern to support our Public Relations and Internal Communications efforts. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience shaping how a global brand shows up—externally in the market and internally with our people.
You’ll help tell the story of how Direct Travel is evolving the industry while ensuring our employees stay informed, engaged, and connected to our strategy.
What You’ll Do

Internal Communications

Draft internal communications including employee emails and newsletter articles

Support communications for Employee Resource Groups, volunteering, and Company Values programs

Organize and prepare content and materials for internal campaigns

Assist in developing content for internal platforms (e.g., intranet, employee newsletter) and handle the administrative tasks of publishing

Help plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and campaigns

Technical Execution for Email Platform (Workshop)

Support the setup, configuration, and rollout of our internal email platform

Build and test email templates to ensure consistency and functionality

Troubleshoot formatting and rendering issues across devices and audiences

Help establish efficient processes for distribution, QA, and version control

Track performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement

Public Relations & External Communications

Support drafting of press releases, media pitches, and company announcements

Assist in amplifying key narratives (innovation, Avenir, global growth, acquisitions)

Monitor media coverage with our PR agency

Help coordinate announcements, thought leadership, and PR campaigns

Content & Brand Storytelling

Contribute to content that reinforces Direct Travel’s brand voice and market positioning

Support social media and employer brand storytelling (people, culture, innovation)

Help ensure consistency of messaging across internal and external channels
Qualifications

Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field

Strong writing and storytelling skills with an eye for tone and audience

Interest in corporate communications, PR, and brand building

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
