[Hiring] Head of GEO @Lodgify

Role Description

As LLMs, AI Overviews, conversational search, and generative discovery fundamentally reshape how users find products and make buying decisions, organic visibility now means something entirely different — and the stakes are higher than ever. We're looking for a senior leader who gets that, and who's ready to own it!

As Head of GEO / AI Search Optimization , you will define, build, and lead Lodgify's entire generative engine optimization function. This is a channel ownership role . You'll set the strategy, secure the resources, and integrate GEO as a core pillar of Lodgify's go-to-market motion. You'll work across Product, Sales, Marketing, Brand, Growth, and Retention — influencing roadmaps, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring Lodgify is the most visible, frequently cited, and trusted brand in the vacation rental space across every AI-powered discovery surface.

You won't be executing inside someone else's strategy. You'll be defining it.

Remote-friendly role, with priority for candidates in or relocating to Barcelona.

How will you make an impact?

• Own the channel end-to-end.
• Define and lead Lodgify's GEO strategy as a core acquisition and brand authority channel within the company's GTM framework.
• Drive executive alignment.
• Own the GEO roadmap and budget.

• Integrate across all of Marketing.
• Defend and compound Lodgify's classical SEO foundation.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in SEO, organic growth, or AI search optimization — with at least 3 years in a leadership or channel-ownership role (Head, Director, Principal, or equivalent).
• Proven track record of delivering measurable results with GEO, programmatic SEO, or AI-enabled content workflows.
• Proven track record of owning a search or organic channel strategy.
• Deep expertise in how LLMs retrieve, chunk, and cite content.
• Experience influencing cross-functional roadmaps, particularly with Product, Engineering, and Sales stakeholders at a decision-making level.
• Proven ability to drive engineering and product prioritization without direct authority.
• Strong analytical mindset.
• Executive communication skills.
• Comfortable setting direction in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments.

Requirements

• Hands-on expertise in structured data, technical SEO, or AI-agent access protocols.
• Experience developing or shipping AI-driven tools, lead-generation features, or content automation workflows.
• Prior experience in a Head, Director, or VP-level role with direct P&L or budget accountability for an organic acquisition channel.
