Role Description
The Field Marketing Team Lead serves as both a strategic guide and a hands-on practitioner for Macmillan Learningβs field marketing function. Acting as a player-coach, this role balances ownership of specific field marketing initiatives with leadership of the broader team, ensuring that sales and marketing are seamlessly aligned in driving pipeline growth, lead conversion, and customer engagement.

Define best practices for how marketing and sales partner in the field.

Set clear strategies for handoffs, follow-up, and coordinated campaigns.

Directly manage a portfolio of events, enablement initiatives, and market engagement activities.

Provide coaching, feedback, and support to field marketing managers.

Connect frontline insights with organizational strategy.

Ensure customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and emerging market trends inform product positioning, campaign planning, and sales enablement.

Elevate the impact of field marketing and demonstrate how sales-marketing alignment translates into measurable growth.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree.

A minimum of 5 years experience as a Marketing Manager.

3-5 years experience in Field Sales and/or Field Marketing.

Systems-thinker who can quickly analyze and synthesize data.

Team oriented with a positive can-do attitude.

Ability to work cross-functionally to create personal and team goals.

Ability to quickly identify and respond to market trends.

Technically savvy - able to quickly attain deep knowledge of products and solutions.

Strong presentation skills.
Requirements

3-5 years of Sales or Product Training experience (preferred).

Knowledge of PowerBI, Salesforce, and Gemini (preferred).

Excellent communicator and cross-functional partner.

Experience with AI-supported marketing workflows, tools, and analytics (preferred).

EdTech or Higher Ed Publishing experience (preferred).
