Role Description

Own and execute the end-to-end email and SMS lifecycle strategy for a growing beauty e-commerce business, driving customer retention, repeat purchases, and subscription engagement.

• Own the email and SMS campaign calendar.
• Manage the full customer lifecycle from signup through retention and re-engagement.
• Develop and execute onboarding, retention, skip/cancel-save, and win-back programs.
• Manage subscription lifecycle communications and customer engagement.
• Build, launch, test, and optimize email and SMS campaigns hands-on.
• Analyze campaign performance and use results to improve customer retention and repeat purchases.
• Collaborate closely with Creative, Art Direction, E-commerce, and Brand Marketing teams.
• Execute campaigns directly rather than managing outside agencies.
• Identify opportunities to shorten the time between customer purchases.
• Support increased campaign volume and potential overtime during the holiday season.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on email/CRM experience with the ability to own programs end-to-end.
• Proven experience owning email and SMS programs focused on customer retention and repeat purchases.
• Experience managing the complete customer lifecycle, including signup, SMS, order delivery communications, follow-up, retention, and win-back.
• Hands-on experience owning a subscription platform such as Recharge or Skio.
• Hands-on Klaviyo experience.
• Hands-on Shopify experience required.
• Experience personally executing campaigns and lifecycle programs—not solely managing agencies.
• Beauty industry experience required.
• Demonstrated results with relevant brands, platforms, and measurable performance improvements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate objectives.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to have fun while working.
• Comfortable receiving and applying constructive feedback.
• Demonstrated career stability and longevity in previous roles.
• Must be physically located on the West Coast and able to work PST hours.
