[Hiring] E-commerce & Digital Marketing Specialist @D2B

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised E-commerce & Digital Marketing Specialist to support Kataki across four key areas:

• Shopify maintenance and conversion optimisation
• Social media advertising and content
• Backend order processing
• Customer service

The successful candidate will keep the Shopify store running smoothly and converting well, plan and manage paid social campaigns, produce engaging content, and ensure orders flow accurately between Shopify and Odoo, with stock levels kept up to date.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable moving between marketing, systems and operations work. They should be able to identify what needs attention and follow tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.

The key objective is to help Kataki grow online sales while keeping store, order and customer operations accurate, efficient and well organised.

Qualifications

• At least 3–4 years of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing or online store operations.
• Proven hands-on experience maintaining and optimising Shopify stores.
• Demonstrated experience running profitable paid social campaigns on Meta and/or TikTok.
• Ability to create engaging social media content, including short-form video.
• Practical understanding of conversion rate optimisation, A/B testing and e-commerce analytics.
• Experience with backend order processing, fulfilment and inventory management.
• Experience with ERP or inventory system integrated with Shopify.
• Strong troubleshooting skills when integrations, syncs or store features stop working.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to write clear, customer-ready content and replies.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with product data, stock levels and order accuracy.
• Ability to manage priorities across marketing, operations and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional home-office environment.
• Availability to work 25–30 hours per week during New Zealand business hours, moving to full-time within approximately 3 months.

Requirements

• Shopify – strong hands-on experience required
• ERP System – experience strongly preferred to help set up
• Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager
• Google Analytics 4 and Shopify Analytics
• Canva, CapCut or comparable design and video-editing tools
• Customer service platforms (e.g. Gorgias, Zendesk or Shopify Inbox)
• Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
