Role Description
Go Fish Digital is looking for a Director of Generative Engine Optimization to join our team. As Director of GEO, you’ll turn our GEO point of view into repeatable, high-impact client work. You’ll lead a portfolio of accounts, guide the people doing the work, and make sure our strategies are as measurable as they are forward-looking.
You’ll blend technical SEO, content strategy, entity optimization, and an understanding of how AI systems retrieve and synthesize information. You’ll translate a fast-changing search landscape into clear priorities, experiments, and roadmaps for clients.
You’ll be a strategic operator and a trusted partner: close enough to the work to raise its quality, and senior enough to align teams, clients, and leaders around what comes next.
Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in SEO, content strategy, digital PR, or a related search discipline, with demonstrated experience leading client strategy.
-
Strong understanding of technical SEO, information retrieval, structured data, topical authority, and how LLM-powered search experiences surface information.
-
Working familiarity with generative search platforms and the evolving ways users discover, evaluate, and trust brands.
-
You can turn ambiguous platform changes and complex data into focused strategies, priorities, and next steps.
-
You balance innovation with disciplined measurement, using experimentation and evidence to prove value.
