[Hiring] Digital Marketing Manager @Hunt St

Role Description

We're looking for a commercially and strategically minded Digital Marketing Manager to own and grow our e-commerce channel. This is a role for a marketing mind, not a task-taker. The tools Shopify, Klaviyo, paid media, content are how the work gets delivered; what matters most is a strong foundation in digital marketing strategy, a genuine understanding of our brand and products, and the judgement and autonomy to bring the brand to life and run the function. “Manager” reflects ownership of the digital marketing function, its strategy and its results, rather than managing a team.

This is deliberately not a “here's the plan, go execute” role. In your first 30–60 days you'll immerse yourself in the brand and products, audit where our channels and performance sit, and then co-create our 12-month digital marketing strategy together with our founder — a plan you help build and own from the start, aligned to our brand direction and business objectives. From there you'll own delivery through rolling two-month execution plans, with weekly performance reporting and monthly strategy sessions. You'll also be our go-to person for using AI to work smarter across the marketing function.

Prior experience in the alcohol, beverage or hospitality industries is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital marketing, including genuine experience building and owning digital marketing strategy — not just executing channels.
• The ability to learn a brand deeply and translate it into compelling, consistent digital execution — real brand literacy.
• A self-directed, high-autonomy operator who takes ownership of a function and drives outcomes without being managed task to task.
• Confident with analytics — comfortable owning and reporting on revenue, conversion and ROAS, and making the case for where to invest.
• Excellent written and spoken English, self-managing, with strong overlap to Australian Eastern business hours.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on Google Ads and Meta Ads experience, managing budgets to ROAS/CPA targets.
• Advanced Shopify skills, including conversion rate optimisation.
• Strong Klaviyo experience (flows and campaigns); Mailchimp or similar also welcome.
• Proficiency in Canva, with confidence editing photo and video content.
• Comfortable using AI tools to support content, planning and reporting.
• Experience with pricing, budget and cost planning (AU market experience a plus).
• PR and influencer marketing experience.
• Experience in the alcohol, beverage or hospitality industries highly desirable.

Benefits

• Remote role set up as an independent contractor engagement; you'll have flexibility in how you manage your time, with strong overlap to AU Eastern business hours for collaboration.
• Compensation range: $2,000–$3,000 AUD per month, depending on experience and strategic depth.
