[Hiring] Digital Marketing & Content Designer @NexScale

Role Description

This is not a surface-level 'post on social and make graphics' role. This role is best suited for candidates who already have hands-on experience in digital marketing, content marketing, visual design or product marketing and want to deepen their skills in AI-native, production-grade B2B SaaS products.

Exceptional performance during the internship may lead to:

• A full-time role at NexScale
• An extension of the internship for 8 months or longer, depending on mutual fit, funding structure, and team needs

Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience in digital marketing, content marketing, social media management, SEO, or product marketing (internships, startups, freelance, or in-house teams)
• Fluent in Figma and Canva
• Fluent in using AI solutions in day-to-day work (writing, design, research, automation)
• Understanding of how content, channels, and design work together to drive clarity, trust, adoption, and conversion
• Comfortable owning campaigns end-to-end and working closely with founders and product teams
• Care about building a brand that creates real business and human impact
• Take ownership, communicate clearly, and follow through
• Capable, thoughtful, with a get-things-done attitude, strong attention to details, and accountability

Requirements

• Prior experience in digital marketing, content marketing, social media, SEO, or product marketing
• Strong fluency in Figma and Canva (non-negotiable)
• Ability to present a strong portfolio of content, campaigns, and visual work (required)
• Clear writing and communication skills and a high attention to detail
• A Master's degree from a top Canadian university (e.g., University of Toronto, York University, Toronto Metropolitan University, Schulich, Rotman, McGill, Waterloo, Western, Queen's, UBC) — graduating in the coming months or within the last 12 months
• Based in Toronto
• Eligible for Canadian internship grant programs (legally eligible to work in Canada, a resident of Canada, and graduated no more than 2 years ago from a Canadian university)
