Role Description
ReadMe is hiring a Developer Marketer to build on a brand that developers already love. You’ll help strengthen our voice, ensuring that every marketing initiative—from product launches to community engagement—feels authentic, playful, and developer-first. Your work will keep ReadMe top of mind, reinforcing the trust and excitement our users already have for our product.
- Build on our brand: Cement ReadMe as a beloved brand among developers.
- Connect with developers: Engage with developers and spend time in those circles.
- Grow our community: Enhance involvement through Slack, office hours, and events.
- Launch products: Integrate marketing into the product development journey.
- Content, content, content: Produce live streams, video tutorials, blog posts, and updates.
- Events: Create memorable experiences through unique events and gatherings.
- Keep ReadMe Weird: Innovate and maintain a unique approach to content and marketing.
- Really care: Show genuine love for developer tools and their users.
Qualifications
- Passionate about developer tools and marketing in a startup environment.
- Understanding of how developers think and experience in marketing to a technical audience.
- Scrappy operator who can turn complex issues into actionable plans.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Community builder who enjoys engaging with customers.
Requirements
- Ability to connect with the developer community and identify engagement opportunities.
- Ownership of small-scale marketing initiatives.
- Development and execution of broader marketing campaigns.
- Building relationships with developers, customers, and industry influencers.
- Driving major product launches and marketing initiatives.
- Establishing ongoing community-building efforts.
- Creating a strategy for scaling developer engagement and marketing programs.
